How to set the speed of fan always maximum

    Hello!

I use Ubuntu 11.04 (updated). My laptop is burning after a while when I use Ubuntu. But on the same laptop Windows 7 has no problem and it is always cold (even i play games long time). I update my BIOS and i look for BIOS settings about temperature and fan. But there is no any option about them. What should i do to set fan(s) speed always maximum ? Is there any application which can show fan(s) and control them?

My laptop is new and fast enough for Ubuntu. I have 4 DDR3 RAM and I have never use more than 1.5 gb of it on Ubuntu. I don't use swap space. Compiz works perfect. The "top" command don't show me something wrong.

I use Dell Studio 1557. And i have not installed the acceleration drivers of my ATI HD 4500 because compiz works perfect and i can watch with VLC the movies which i can not watch them properly even on Windows 7.

    Thank you!
