Problems with scroll button on Lenovo SL500 with ubuntu 9.04

Just installed ubuntu 9.04 on my Lenovo SL500 laptop.
Now the middle scroll button doesn't work, and I have looked around for a fix but it stll doesn't work.
(for example I tried this: http://www.mongflex.com/?p=41)
Is it because mine is a SL500, not the same as in the example?

When I first tried this hack it didn't work for me either. If you scroll down on the comments you will see that one person states that he had to edit the double quotes as they caused an issue. Same thing happened to me. I had to retype each quote and then it worked fine.
