List explicitly installed packages

I am aware that the packages that are installed as dependencies are marked as automatically installed. We can actually list those packages in Synaptic using the "Automatic Install" filter.

But how about the opposite? How can I list all packages that are explicitly installed (not pulled as dependencies)? Is there such capability in apt or aptitude or perhaps using some script?
