So I finally got Ubuntu up and running on my computer. But currently I have 50% of the hard drive with Windows 7 on it.
Is there a way I can go about deleting that partition and expanding Ubuntu onto that space without reformatting?

I wrote a guide about expanding the / partition. Here's the link:

It deals with shrinking rather than deleting Windows. You might just make Windows smaller, but even for deleting Windows much of the guide's recommendations on expanding / would apply.
