Need help for a workaround idea for the Kodak 5500 AiO Printer

I've an idea for a script (which I don't even begin to know how to do) that would create a workaround for those of us who have a Kodak 5500 AiO Printer that we like ... except that the company won't provide a Linux driver.

since I can print a document from a ******* in VirtualBox, how 'bout a script that would send the desired print job to the VirtualBox ******* printer?

You could enable "unix printing" (lpr/lpd) in windows in vbox then use cups to talk to that from linux. I did this with a standalone machine, I'd think it would work from vbox.
