Will this build work with Ubuntu ?

I am about to buy these parts for my own build and was wondering if these things be compatible with Ubuntu:

    RAM: G.SKILL HK 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel

    PSU: CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W ATX12V V2.2 80

    DVD/CD: Sony Optiarc Black

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard

    CPU: AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz 3 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Black Processor

I will also be using a case I already have, and a GeForce 8400 video card.

Thanks in advance to anyone who reads this and/or responds

I've only done two Ubuntu builds from scratch (plus periodic hardware upgrades), so I'm no expert. In general, I've had no problems with RAM, power supplies, DVD drives, or hard drives from any manufacturer. My current build runs a Phenom tri-core CPU. It's not the exact one you're considering, but it works fine. I can't really comment on your motherboard since I've always used MSI.

My biggest hardware problems have been with video cards. I think an nVidia chipset is the way to go, and that's what you have with your GeForce. Just be sure after you're up and running to enable the drivers for the card (go to System → Administration → Hardware Drivers).
