    USB Stick

    Hi,

When the release of Karmic comes out, I am going to remove Jaunty and replace it with Karmic. However I have about 7GBs of data on my HD, I am looking at buying a USB/Flash drive to place the data on. Are all sticks Linux friendly? Or is there a better way of backing up data?

I have never had a problem with linux seeing a usb stick. I do this occasionally with my 8gb stick.

Are any sticks better than others?

    Re: USB Stick

I'd stick with a brand name I know when buying a memory stick, just for reliability. Other than that I see no reason for one to work better than another.
