Why the rush to add "Context View" to every music player under the sun?

Why are Linux music players all rushing to add "context views"? Banshee, Exaile, heck Amarok2 made the "context view" take up a third of the screen. I know my music. That's why it's in my collection. I don't need to see their Wikipedia page and discography.

If developers are really that hard up to add features instead of fixing things like iPod support, why not something useful like automatically generated playlists? IMMS was great in that stayed in the background, analyzing the sound of each song and tracking which ones you skipped and which specifically clicked on to make pretty good dynamic playlists. Amarok used to have the Moodbar, but ditched that in version 2.0. Why not work on things that let explore our music collections instead of adding bloat to tell us what he already know
