processor 100% usage ??

Hi

I'm using "core2duo" processor.
previously it was all fine but since a week i observed that the processor utilization % is 100%. I saw it in the screenlets applet !! (U can see it in the screenshot attached, u can see the present working processes also in the terminal). System performance is also getting slow.... and sometimes it even restarts automatically ...

(just happened 2 times).
What exactly is the problem? (I recently changed the SMPS as the previous one did not work,Even with the previous SMPS i was stuck with same problem)

Can any one help me!!

Well, I don't know what the problem is, but if you run

Code:

top

in a terminal, it will tell you what program is using the most CPU power.

thanx..... i've nt obseved that !

Why does Xorg took 53% of cpu, generally it dont take (to my knowledge)...
And i've nt opened so many pages in the firefox to take 39%, why did it?
Why is it taking that huge %ge ....?
Any background jobs that i've not initiated, but required ?
And why does the system shutting down some times as i mentioned in the previous post?
Is it due to over heating??

Sorry for so many questions

(Its really disturbing me.....)

maybe the pc restart himself becouse the precessor is working so much that mean more energy and of course hot and then the bios will restart the pc....

what is you machine, a lap top??? a desktop???

use "top" to watch the process

I don't know what the problem is, but hopefully someone else will. All I knew was that top would tell you what programs are using the cpu. Sorry about that, but let's hope someone else knows how to fix it.
