    Updating System Time

EDIT: SORRY. The Timezone was off and set to Moscow for some reason.FIXED/SOLVED
ran dpkg-reconfigure tzdata and all is now golden .

    Hey,

I want to update the time on my Ubuntu server as it's like 3 hours ahead for some reason. I was on the pool.ntp.org site and it suggest getting the time/date closer manually before using somethign like ntp.

I use the date command followed by the date/time

    date 093021402009.40
But I get the following error. I'm even running it from root.

date: cannot set date: Operation not permitted
    Cheers,
    Scott

Please keep in mind I'm somewhat new to Linux so beware with the jargon .
