the rt3090 will be correctly istalled.
i have followed the same procedure but even if the package rt3090 is succesfully installed it do not work why?

i followed it too, i can do alot more than i could before i can see other wireless networks including mine and when i try to connect (WEP key) to it. its keeps asking for the password over and over. i know i input the password correctly. but i don't believe its working.

I got it now!!!! It works just made some adjustment on my network. I'm writing this message from wireless. Thanks u soo much

Please delete your current wireless network in your network manager, and re-create it, and let me know if that solves your problem.

FYI, recently had to connect to WPA2 personal network, Markus' seems to have fixed the WPA issues in the PPA. Using Kubuntu 9.10, Markus' PPA and networkmanager I was able to connect without any issues.

Yes indeed! I know it's been said before, but lots of thanks to Markus! Their PPA works perfectly now, and it can be considered "100% safe" to upgrade to and use Ubuntu Karmic!
