Hi all,
I'm trying to get my newly bought d-link gwl-g510 working on ubuntu 9.04. It should work out of the box but it isn't (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Ha...workCardsDlink)
I downloaded the driver from http://www.ralinktech.com/support.php?s=2
and choose the
RT2501PCI/mPCI/CB(RT61:RT2561/RT2561S/RT2661) 01/23/2009 1.1.2.3
I installed the linux-header, gcc and the build-essential
I extract the files and did:
now I get this error:Code:sudo cp Makefile.6 Makefile sudo make all
I have read several posts where people also had this error and the solution was to install build-essential, gcc and linux-header but this doesn't work for me. I tried this on 2 different computers but all with the same error.Code:ubuntu@ubuntu:~/Desktop/2009_0123_RT61_Linux_STA_v1.1.2.3/Module$ sudo make all make -C /lib/modules/2.6.28-11-generic/build SUBDIRS=/home/ubuntu/Desktop/2009_0123_RT61_Linux_STA_v1.1.2.3/Module modules make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.28-11-generic' scripts/Makefile.build:46: *** CFLAGS was changed in "/home/ubuntu/Desktop/2009_0123_RT61_Linux_STA_v1.1.2.3/Module/Makefile". Fix it to use EXTRA_CFLAGS. Stop. make[1]: *** [_module_/home/ubuntu/Desktop/2009_0123_RT61_Linux_STA_v1.1.2.3/Module] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.28-11-generic' make: *** [all] Error 2
I must have done something wrong but can't figure it out.
