    Intel Graphic Integrated Card on UBUNTU 8.04

    I have a Lenovo THINKPAD T61 with Intel Graphic Integrated card
    Code:

    but look like I cannot enable desktop effects ?

    is there any way that i can fully use this video card? i.e right driver?

    PS: although i was able to get right resolution, but the quality of image is not really good though ;(

    please help

    The new Intel Drivers have ben glitchy in Jaunty try this guide and let me know if it fixes it

    Thanks million for the help.
    I've been using linux for years, but mostly with server application, not desktop thus, graphic was not a requirement until today ;

    my T61 has windows XP pre-installed. I loaded ubuntu 8.04 to have dual boot. Kinda testing things out before migrating to linux ubuntu. So far, it worked for MATLAB, mathematica, LATEX, JAVA, etc etc

    I ran into problem by the way
    before posting this topic, I tried many methods, include adding SKIP_CHECK=yes to compiz_manager. Wondering if it will cause problem for this method.
