    non of these are actualy useful ... and you would be lucky if they arnt trials in actuality not to mention most of them are out of date as far as i can see .

    these are only useful if your trying to learn IT
    comon what student would need MS-SQL anyway ...

    also your on a Linux forum for crying out loud... please stop blaspheming in public ...

    I don't see what the problem is, we always recommend that people use the best tool for the job, whether it be Linux, WIndows or OSX.

    There are some Windows and OSX programs that don't have Linux equivalents.

    This is great opportunity to learn about the applications in question, which is why the University and Microsoft made them available in the first place. I would also take the opportunity to learn how they interact with GNU / Linux. This is especially true of the Server and OS products.

    The reality is that in more and more workplaces we will see a mix of FLOSS and propriety products and those that can make both kinds of software work together will become very valuable employees.

    Linux sure is great for thread necromancy though!
