    3G phone as modem

    hello,

    I have SE g705i and i want to connect to intrnet whit it =)
    for windows use i got some pc suite and i conect whit it....
    When i plug it in when booting whit ubuntu there some dialog promp up for making mobile conection. When i insert all what i need(pin, operater data itd.) And click connect it shows that i was disconected =)

    any sugesstions how to fix that =) cuz i need net via my mobile quite badly =)

    I use to do it with my SE mobile phone.

    I cant remember exactly how I did it apart from I use to plug my phone in once my desktop was loaded run one command and it would connect using all settings from the phone.

    I will have a look around see if I can find anything, but its all to do with when your phone is plugged in via usb it recognises it as a modem,hope it aids your research while i look around for you.

    Ok, thanks a lot for that info, i was serching google a litle but found nothink that Worked =(
    also tried whit two nokia phnes but it didnt work.
    are there any additional thinks which i need to set up, after pluging phone in, and following the dialog which prompt up?
