Hello,
I have been trying to install RealVNC, but the viewer fails to connect to the server. Here's the guide that I used:
The host has just given me SSH access, so I am trying to setup VNC. I am done with editing the file for xinetd, but starting xinetd fails. I did a restart instead of stop and start, and it worked.
Anway, here's the problem:
Code:
root@worldstream-desktop:~# vncviewer localhost:1
VNC viewer for X version 4.0 - built Oct 19 2005 20:19:45
Copyright (C) 2002-2004 RealVNC Ltd.
See http://www.realvnc.com for information on VNC.
vncviewer: unable to open display ""
Next, I followed another guide for it, but this time opening the ports gives the same error.
Code:

Now what to do?
Also, while trying to run VNCViewer for Port 5090, I get an error "read: Connection reset by peer (10054)".
Thanks!
