    Netbook display size and resolution

I attached a monitor to my netbook. When I reopend, the desktop on the netbook had shrunk to a 640X480 4:3 resolution. It is not possible to change it back using the display preferences. Also, in this configuration the cursor is not able to click on the buttons on the display preferences screen. Instead, when I try to click on a button, the window jumps. When I first tried this there were multiple resolutions available. Now there is only one. How do I get this back to normal? With a display this small it is very difficult to use.

Re: Netbook display size and resolution

Any help of this at all? I have tried getting a fix from the manufacturer of the netbook, Zareason, but after a week they still have no solution. Grateful for any advice...

There is a command you can run to reset the X windows system back.

While I look try restarting, booting into Recovery mode and one of the options you'll be presented with is fixing graphics issues - run it.
