Wireless network restart - Aspire 3810 T timeline

The wireless networks works out of the box for 3810T with latest karmic. However, if you accidentally touch the backlit wireless symbol the connection is stopped. Touching it again makes the light flash but the networks
remains inaccessible. Even when trying to connect to a hidden network. Even when logging out.

The only way to restart seems to be a complete reboot. Logout alone does not help.

Is there a /etc/init.d/-script I am missing for this?

Re: Wireless network restart - Aspire 3810 T timeline

I'm having a similar issue. I can use wireless just fine, the touch-sensitive icon lights up and flickers a bit when active, and I can enable and disable wireless with the button. However, after a while (maybe 10 to 15 minutes), my wireless dies. The button does not light up and no longer responds when touched. A restart is required for me also. It's really annoying.
