Re: Ipod Nano 5G with linux?

Hi, i've compiled everything, double checked. (libgpod with prefix) Looks like gtkpod works, but 5g nano still does not see tracks. iTunes can see the playlist and recover it. So i need to use iTunes to fix the playlist every time...
    Anyone have fully working version?

Well, I did, but might 8 year old (whose iPod this is) put a pin number in to lock it and can`t remember it. And there`s no way of fixing that with Ubuntu.

    GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRR!

by the way, after fixing database in iTunes i started gtkpod and i've got "iTunesDB does not match checksum in extended information file. gtkpod will try to match the information using SHA1 checksums."
looks like it is not compatible

    Good news everyone!
My amd64 build works flawlessly. Sometimes with warnings, but it works! Even adds album graphics.

The i386 build may work, but i did cross-compiling first time and i can't guarantee that i did not do a mistake. So try on your own risk, comment if it works.

(the .deb files, so everything can be easily removed/upgraded with synaptic)
    Double-click to install
    1. libplist
    2. libgpod
    3. gtkpod

    Which deb?

I'll try to find 32bit os here and build on native platform.

Same error. I'm using 32bit architecture...

Edit: You have to remove libgpod-common.
Edit: After installing the packages I start gtkpod but it won't run. It give me this error:
bash: /usr/bin/gtkpod: impossibile eseguire il file binario

There's a PPA available at https://launchpad.net/~gilir/+archive/backports that has libgpod version 0.7.90. I installed it this morning and now my ipod works great!
