RuneScape HD

This is for a game called "RuneScape"
Whenever I try to get into HD, I get this: "Unable to enter that mode."
Do I have to play runescape in SD?

Your java version + browser please? You can play runescape HD on linux, i was playing myself.

If I press verify JRE on the Java site, it says I have the latest (6u16).

I had that issue watching HD content on YouTube and hulu. To fix it I had to install flash player 10. The default flash is 9 on Ubuntu. Theres lots of guides how to install flash player 10.

Joeel, the game we are talking about is coded in Java, I don't think that'll help.
But, I'll try... Don't think it will work, though.
Also, getting flash player 10 couldn't hurt

Anyone get this working in HD? I am tired of booting into Windows just for that game.

Strangely enough a lot of people are having problems with Runescape HD in 9.04, including me. My laptop totally freezes and I have to restart...

To play it in HD you need to have OpenGL 3D drivers enabled, also, I've found that JRE 6 clashed with Compiz, so I downgraded to JRE 5.

What kind of graphics card are you running and do you have restricted drivers installed?
