    user and group gui

I'm trying to create a user and group.

I went to system > administration > users and groups

I successfully created a new user and group. because I could see it in the users and group gui.

Why can't I see the new user/group that I created in the group drop down menu in the permission tab of nautilus?

    update:

I ran nautilus as root and was able to see the user and group that I created.

Why is it hidden? how can I configure ubuntu so that new users or groups are not hidden when I run nautilus? I want to be able to set and change permission from gui for users and group.

I would assume that Ubuntu wants only root to be able to make those types of changes.
