Hello, I work for a company that uses windows. I'm trying to use linux for all of my work for the company. The main problem I have is that I cannot get to company files that are located on the server. When using Windows XP, I connect via VPN to the server then I go to "Start", "Run", and type in \\servername. This opens up a file browser that lists all of the shared files on the server. When using linux, I can VPN to the server but I cannot browse files. Here is what I do. I connect to the server then I open up Nautilus and enter in the location smb://username@servername (or IP address in place of servername). I get a message back saying,

"Could not display "smb://servername/". Error: Failed to retrieve share list from server. Please select another viewer and try again."

I'm not sure what to do. I have searched around in different forums but haven't been able to figure it out. Could someone help? Thanks.
