    file sharing problem

I'm trying to share files over my home network. I want to be able to access the files on any computer in the house and was going to use the guest access checkbox in the sharing options to do so. The only problem I have is that the guest access checkbox is not check-able. Any ideas why?

I presume you're using Karmic and sharing via Nautilus?

That is correct. It's frustrating because everything I've read makes it sound so simple, but also offers no help when thing go amiss.

For what it's worth (FWIW), I'm having the same problem on my Karmic box. I'm not really familiar with sharing via Nautilus - I've always set up shares via /etc/samba/smb.conf.
