Question Windows 7 window snapping effect?

    Hi everybody.

I just wanted to know if the Windows 7 effect where you can drag a window to the side and i snaps to the half part of the screen exists in Ubuntu/Gnome or with Compiz?

I've been looking for it, but I couldn't find anything, maybe because I don't know what to search for?

    Can anybody help me?

    Greetings!

    Mathias.

Ive searched for it as well, and I don't think its possible yet (and I agree its useful, its a good idea by MS).

The closest things are the "Maximumize" plugin and the "Grid" plugin. Especially grid. Enable it and press control+alt+keypad4/5/6

actually.. perhaps you could bind the "grid" plugin to the left and right regions of your monitor to come pretty close to what windows does, although it should only do so when dragging a window, so I got no idea how to do that

Hey! I'm content with the Grid plugin - works just as well
