    Re: Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited

    So.. yay!.. another issue.. hopefully it won't beas bad..

    i got DDO to work fully and install fully and update fully.. with the Crossover Office i have. now my problem is an easy one.. i can't get it to do anything good.. all the graphics are in low.. i admit, totally playable and haven't crashed on low yet, but.. i want some pretty here.. lol. i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to fix that.. no rush.

    Wanted to add my sys specs.

    Ubuntu 9.10 - the Karmic Koala
    AMD 3.2ghz Quad
    ATI Radeon HD:5770
    4gig ram

    Use Crossover Games instead of Crossover Office/Pro, it is aimed at gaming.

    Question Re: Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited

    Hello. I would just like to confirm that with a Radeon X300 chipset that I am unable to avoid the "Hardware texture compression (error 129)" message that prevents me from playing this game. No combination of drivers (normal/bleeding-edge) that I have tried works to remove this error message.

    As far as I've been googling, it seems the issue is the lack of a proprietary video driver for this particular card.

    I just want to make sure I haven't forgotten to try something.

    Thanks in advance.

    I wish to also state that I have this exact same issue when trying to run ddo. A black scrren followed by a "Hardware texture compression (error 129)". If anyone knows of a workaround for this it would be great.

    (P.S.Using Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07))

    I am also getting the same "compression" error. Any help would be great.

    Ubuntu Netbook 10.04 on an asus 1005ha. (people say the game works on these netbooks, but according to the guide on winehq, Ubuntu is SOL. I am hoping for another solution).

    Is this the same as a black shroud coming and going in game? if so try omitting this from regedit direct3d in wine:
    Code:
    "OffscreenRenderingMode"="fbo"
    @Ajackson
    Thanks a bunch for making this game playable on linux!

    I am running this game on ubuntu 9.10 amd64 on a i7 with ATI 4350 HD 1gb, in 1280*1024, and i cant get the graphics higher than low... if i set it higher everything is kind of turned upside down - so 2 questions:
    1) Is this the max my graphics card can support?
    2) If not does anybody have any ideas on how to get better graphics? (fps seems to be just fine when on low)

    EDIT: Ehm i dont know if my graphics card is X300 if it is let me know and i'll see if i can replicate the "Hardware texture compression (error 129)" error.

    Hi there.

    Never tried it on 10.04. but ill give it a go.
    But first i dont undestand you problem.

    Is the program updated? (Did you update the program from windows and copied it to ubuntu)

    Or are you trying to update it from ubuntu?

    Did you set wine to run win 2000?

    And with regards to the patching - Where are you patching from? inside "the lord of the rings online" loader?

    - i did download ddo on windows before i went on unbuntu (that was 1day ago )so i used dose bin file's and installer for install DDO via wine.

    - Then i have installed LOTRO_EU_Bk13_PatchClient.tar.bz2 witch i can start via wine or stand alone and inside that PyLotro i traying to do patching witch fail every time, if i try to start DDO without patching i get msg "You dont have current version of cline installed."

    - and if i go to patch it get error msg that i have posted first time ,plus pop up window witch say "The program rundll32.exe has encountered a serious problem and it needs to be closed."

    Thank you.
