    See it goes both way.

Oh... and registry is apparently a nifty idea. That's why were are getting our own version in the form of CouchDB (improved and not system critical of course).

mmmmm.... the level of paranoia and baseless accusations in this thread is almost tangible.

    baseless, eh?

would you consider Mr. Ballmer's own words a credible base for what you term 'accusations'?

Mister Ballmer is a crazy person. MS doesn't love us but this aren't the 90s where they can flaunt their size to squash the competition.
EU is on their case and isn't happy with them. Now if only we could get the same level of interest in MS operations from the USA...

EDIT: One important thing to know is that MS is a transnational networked entity. What that means is that they have autonomous divisions that don't have to be in agreement with one another all the time. That's why you are seeing Codeplex Foundation on one side and selling of FLOSS related patents to patent trolls on the other.

    correct.

Mutually Assured Destruction does not work when the Soviet Premier is banging his shoe on the table at the UN claiming "We Will Bury You!" with 10,000 nuclear warheads backing him up.
