Jaunty, Vuze, NAT errors, and Open Ports

I have Jaunty, Vuze and Transmission. I have NAT errors preventing Vuze from downloading more that 12 Kb/s per torrent. No download at all on transmission. I installed firestarter to open/close ports, but thats a dead end.

I don't know that much beyond the most basic things about p2p downloading, seeds/leechers etc. I just want to get my download speed to decent levels, any help at all would be great.

You probably need to setup port forwarding on your router. Have a look here.

Portforwarding is not necessary if his router/modem supports UPnP. Vuze already supports it too, so port forwarding should be used only if the hardware does not support UPnP correctly.

See the Azureus Wiki for details.
