Kubuntu 9.10 does not have PulseAudio included in it.

IF SO...My question here is does anyone currently use Kubuntu and how is your performance? I purged PulseAudio so my Ubuntu is Pulse-free and my FL Studio runs awesome...however in doing so i no longer have the "ubuntu-desktop" package.

Does anyone here use Kubuntu? What is your take if you do? I am considering switching.

    Notice to all WineASIO users:
Launchpad compained about hosting non-free code in a PPA, so I had to remove it.

Can someone find another good & working WineASIO (0.7.5) ?

you could try a server like Megaupload or Rapidshare. post the link via a .txt file and everyone could go get as needed.

For anyone who may (or may not) have bumped into problems with PulseAudio in their work. Either you tried purging and it hasn't worked right since or you just want something that is not filled with Pulse...here is a consideration:

    http://code.goto10.org/projects/puredyne/

Puredyne is Xfce and is now based (loosely) on ubuntu but without the pulse AND a really good custom RT kernel in each. I'm currently running and testing Pure:dyne beta2 with FL Studio flawlessly happy! I'm running Pure:dyne as i type and it is proving to be a permanent OS on my system. Being ubuntu based now...all things U are here! (but with Xfce4)

I already started working for a rocking Lucid release, but this could help a bit.
However, we should focus on only 1 distro, instead of creating lots of them...

There is a bit of sarcasm going on in this post.

easy fix people with a /usr/lib32 dir with only wine in it just move the files to lib or run these commands

    sudo ln -s /usr/lib32/wine/wineasio.dll.so /usr/lib/wine/wineasio.dll.so
    regsvr32 wineasio.dll
    >>>>>>Successfully registered DLL wineasio.dll<<<<<<<<<

    hope it helped someone
Cheers 8$B, that fixed it for me!
