Does anyone have a solution for this? becuase I'd much rather use JACK so I can route wine output into ardour, and it's low latency, and realistically using a native app like lmms really isn't an option.
Maybe enabling alsa midi emulation in Jack ? (QJackCtl -> Setup -> "midi driver" to 'seq').

I don't have a midi keyboard to test this.

That didn't work, but I did find a way to get it working - using dssi-vst and jack-dssi-host you can load FL Studio as a VSTi (you'd have to have made sure you installed as a VSTi at install) then go into the VstPlugins directory (by default) in your wine c: drive, copy FL Studio 7 VSTi.dll into ~/vst/, make sure you've ran dssi-vst-scanner, and then you should be able to run it with something like 'jack-dssi-host dssi-vst.so:FL*Studio*7*VSTi.dll', connect your midi keyboard up to it in the jack connections window and voila!

Well, it worked for me anyway, hope it's helpful.

I am not sure what I may be doing wrong but regsvr32 wineasio.dll gives me the following:

    fixme:atl:AtlModuleInit SEMI-STUB (0x4042c8 0x404578 0x400000)
    fixmele:CoInitializeSecurity (0x409838,-1,(nil),(nil),4,3,(nil),0,(nil)) - stub!
    fixme:advapi:RegisterEventSourceW ((null),L"Viewpoint Manager Service"): stub
    fixme:advapi:ReportEventW (0xcafe4242,0x0004,0x0000,0x00000000,(nil),0x0001, 0x00000000,0x71e9b4,(nil)): stub
    fixme:advapieregisterEventSource (0xcafe4242) stub
    Failed to load DLL wineasio.dll

Running FL Studio 9 gives me this error:

Couldn't create the DirectSound main object.

There is no sound when the program starts.

I have made sure to enable ONLY the JACK driver in the Wine audio configuration.

    Thank you for any help!!!

Can you try reinstalling the wineasio deb?

Try forcing 16bit, or any other settings in QJackCtl

ok. one more go at this....went out and picked up a Korg NanoKey and yes now Jack can see that...connection is made but FL Studio does not see it. still get that blasted "midimap.cfg" error...aaghhh! Two midi keyboards...no see either! Ideas?

Note: have tried loading a "blank" midimap.cfg file downloaded from Microsoft's support site and that wasn't good enough either. could a couple of people check to see if they have this file in their /windows/system directory? since it isn't native windows...is it even needed. those whose midi is working do they have such a file?

I got midi working with JACK and FL Studio using the VSTi of fl studio and dssi-vst - then loading the VSTi using jack-dssi-host as a standalone app, then connected by midi keyboard to it in the ALSA connections tab of jack control. I don't know anything about that error though.
