    thunderbird only downloads old messages

    when i download my email from my hotmail account it only re-downloads the emails that i already have and it markes them as unread it also doesn't download any new emails
    is there anything that i can do to stop this and download the new emails

    They have changed from DAV to POP3 or something like that. Odd because in Thunderbird it says I am already using POP3.
    They have only posted advice for Outlook Express and MS products.
    This could be another of those "try and make Ubuntu unusable and they'll come back to us" things.
    Very frustrating.
    You can log into their site directly which is a real pain if you have more than one e-mail address. It all looks like "Facebook" so they're probably kidding themselves been really clever.
    Anyway-any solution to managing hotmail through Thunderbird will be really welcome!

    the settings i have are the pics below they use to work and still do sometimes so they might work for you (first get rid of any web dav)
    btw the outgoing might not work i havent tested it
