I never use any of those.
For torrents you have transmission by default installed but i feel much comfortable with the interface of Deluge.
Those applications you mentioned are, in my opinion, old-tech junk infested downloaders.
Bittorrent is far superior in my opinion and a much more secure protocol. For instance:
- you don't share folders, just single files.
- people don't browse your computer
I also vote for Deluge.
you can also use gtk-gnutella as a limewire alternative and defiently check out Deluge for torrents
sudo apt-get install deluge gtk-gnutella
well the real reason is for just getting single songs, instead of torrenting an entire album and only checking off one song
