Hi all,
Please take a look at the attached image.
It happened when I opened the Terminal and went away to answer the phone and when I came back my one year old niece was playing at the keyboard.
How did it happen?
Perhaps (s)he hit either Ctrl-V or the middle mouse button to paste something you had copied.
close that terminal.
and every other terminals open.
open a new one.
press the UP arrow key, and see if any comand was run (funny when considering the user was so young, but just check..)
else try openg one and wait some time... and see if it repeats.
Just 1 year old and already spamming, tsk, tsk,tsk
I got no clue. Could she have pasted that somehow?
Not that i think it is what happened here, but a long time ago, I had something similar when I enabled remote desktop with a trivial 3 character password (and requiring authorization).
When some unknown IP asked permission to connect, I let it, and opened gedit and saw a windows worm type in commands (for windows) to download some payload from an FTP server. Kinda funny. I then connected to the FTP using the password it was typing in my gedit, moved the worm payload, and left a message for the owner
It happened a month back........didnt get time to post.
Well keep guessing.
