Atheros wireless not working after kernel upgrade

I updated my kernel a few days ago, and after the first restart (I think) the network manager shows my network and attempts to connect, but it won't connect. (I am able to connect with another machine). The driver I was using was ath5k and it worked fine for several months, I even tried enabling the madwifi driver, but still no wireless. Wired connections seem to work fine.
