    compbiz for netbooks?

    Hello,

i'm looking into getting a netbook and I would want one with ubuntu instead of windows. any advice on this?

    secondly,
does ubuntu netbook remix run compbiz? specifically i need the zoom magnifier that it has for my wife who is mostly blind.

    thanks\!

thanks for those sources, i'll check them out. any ideas on if it can handle compiz?

also, are there any out there with integrated t-mobile wireless broadband? i heard dell will be coming out with a netbook for tmobile soon, but not sure if it will be one that they will sell with ubuntu . .

    thanks again

There is a known incompatibility between compiz and one of the components of UNR (can't remember which one off the top of my head). You get redraw issues on your panels and desktop, freezes etc.

Just run vanilla ubuntu and compiz, you'll be fine.
