Yay, another one. I play mostly on Windows anyway now. Haven't had much of a chance to test it out on Linux. How much worse is the speed?

It's not much, my machine is playable in Windows with max settings, but in Linux I have to reduce a little graphic detail. The Linux client is playable, though

I don't think so, I only have to reduce a little graphic, and the quality is almost the same as Windows version.
Sometimes there're a minor problem ( like client crash, the loading bar is flicker ), but luckily we have the reconnect feature .
The game is still in beta state, so I think it will get better, like Savage 2 does

    I've played HoN on Win7 and on 64-bit Ubuntu...(it has 32-bit and 64-bit binaries)

64-bit Linux is the fastest gaming platform EVER.

    gNewSense 2.2 w/ GNOME (Netbook)

Will join as well...in game name: Sinbad

The game is great. As for features other than graphics compared to DotA: leaver filtering, built in voip, GAME RECONNECTION (most awesome feature), plus a few unique heroes/abilities...the soon to be introduced "instant matchmaking" feature will be awesome as well. Oh did I mention it runs on Linux natively... which alone was worth the $30 price tag.

The latest patch seems to have introduced a lot of slowness in the Linux client hopefully that will be fixed soon. Also as it stands the Linux client still needs some shaders and stuff to render certain heroes properly.

Anyway no more beta invites from me...join the Facebook group...when they get up to 200,000 fans they will open up beta sign up for 24 hours.

yeah heared a lot of good things about game, but a lot people say it needs balancing

but they have to understand if they want to attract dota players, they have to do it with game content not by flashy stuff

hope they do good job, just as with savage 2

I'm an orginal dota player, and yes, the game still need many balancing, and seems S2 isn't good at it...
But at least, the game has a native Linux client, and you can help the developer with the balancing
