Angry Driving Me Nuts Frequency Scaling, Q9650 Quad HELP!

    Hello guys,

I really need your help this time, I am going crazy. I live in a apartment but the a/c doesn't work all that well and my computer makes it hot in here. I had it oc'ed to 3.5 Ghz and it idles at 32 to 34 degrees C. I have since changed that back to auto but even then I would like to not have to reboot every time I wanted more speed. I wanted to get the frequency scaling working even if it is only able to work with no oc.

I have looked and looked on Google and while I have found lots of problems but no solutions. I have tried many different things but I really haven't gotten anything that works.

I have a ASUS P5Q-E Motherboard with C1E and Speedstep enabled in the bios. CPU is a Q9650 3.0GHz.

I know you will need some additional commands run to diagnose the problem so just tell me what you need and I will get back as quick as possible.

I would like scaling to work as I don't need 3.0Ghz all the time and it would keep it cooler and save power.

Thanks for any help, and I mean really thanks if you can get this working.
