I have played around a lot with arch and ubuntu on my 1000he, one thing i noticed that works well in arch is the acpi-eee scripts the wiki points to.
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/...-eeepc-generic
Those scripts give the user great control over sound, and button presses. For ubuntu I have been using eee-control-tray
http://greg.geekmind.org/eee-control/
control tray works well, but i wish it allowed me to have more control over which mixers the fn-vol keys controlled as well as the fn-mute. I find in ubuntu that unless i mute both the ispeaker and the master mixer, muting doesnt work and produces an odd buzzing. anyone know how this would be possible?
