    Control treble/bass (Creative X-Fi)

    Hi guys,

Running Ubuntu 9.04 and have successfully installed drivers for my X-Fi cards - works awesome.. except I have no idea how I adjust the treble/bass? Also, when I used Windows I had the option to switch "modes", like between Speakers 7.1, Headphones, Speakers 2.1 etc... how can I get this in Ubuntu?

Creative have something called "Creative Audio Console", but that is Windows only unfortunately..

    Thanks for all your help!
You only know one thing for sure.

It may be a little different for you, but I have 9.10 installed and a Creative Audigy, but maybe it's the same? Worth a try.

If you right-click the speaker icon in the task bar and click 'Sound Preferences' -> 'Hardware' tab -> 'Profile' dropdown
From there you can select either analog or digital outputs and choose between stereo/5.1 etc.

    For speaker / headphone settings:

'Sound Preferences' -> 'Output' tab -> 'Connector' dropdown

I've only recently installed Ubuntu, so I'm still looking for bass/treble controls. Did you have any luck in the end?
