    Test on harddrives?

So my question is, is a hard drive considered memory?

A hard drive is considered storage. Memory directly refers to RAM, however the terms are used (incorrectly) interchangeably; mostly due to marketing.

A Hard Drive can be used as a Virtual Memory (also called Swap).

    no its considered storage.

BUT a hard drive can be used as a form of memory, called virtual memory in Windows, and Swap in Linux

RAM is random access memory, it can be used much more quickly than storage, and allows writing, not just reading.
