Is there a way to update my 9.04 to the 9.10 without having to install it by CD?
In other words, updating 9.04 into 9.10 using the terminal?
Thanks for the help!

Uh yeah ya can. Taken directly from: http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/karmic/alpha4
Upgrading from Ubuntu 9.04
To upgrade from Ubuntu 9.04 on a desktop system, press Alt+F2 and type in "update-manager -d" (without the quotes) into the command box. Update Manager should open up and tell you: New distribution release '9.10' is available. Click Upgrade and follow the on-screen instructions.
You could have tried all they way in May, when the first Alpha was released. Alpha 4 was released a few days ago.

-d for update-manager is the key -d = development versions. This has long been available.
Ok, just wanted to test this out .. stuck at "Getting packages" ( completed, tough, not going any further ) for about 10 minutes
