Thought I'd post a little note here that by combining the skript posted here earlier and switchconf, I can now switch from Intel to ATI graphics quite easily, (just reboot, change adapter in bios, and then i made a choice for intel and one for ATI in grub). So thanks a lot
Now I only need to get suspend to ram working...

Tried to use the fix, but failed: I followed the instructions, but lspci tells that ATI card still is on and power estimate still is 2hrs
lsmod | grep lenovo returns:
dmesg | grep lenovo returns:Code:lenovo_acpi 9604 0
but lspci | grep VGA returnsCode:[ 29.500233] lenovo_acpi: disabled the discrete graphics card

Version 1.13 of BIOS for Acer Travelmate Timeline 8371G is now available on Acer's support website.
I'm currently doing some critical work on my laptop, so can't take the risk of messing it up right now. If anyone is willing to try out this new BIOS and see what's changed (they don't include a simple changelog!) and whether the new Integrated Graphics options is added.
