Falling out of favor of Firefox 3.5.2...

This new browser isn't exactly making things easier anymore.
A few buttons were renamed but that just has to do with relearning everything again. What was mostly annoying is that it messed with the way clearing private data works, that kind of made me mad.

I can't tell if I'm in IE or Firefox anymore, it lost it's unique look.

    Is this just me?

I don't know. I don't use any of the buttons and whatnot when I use Firefox anyway -- I'm a Vimperator man -- so Firefox 3.5.2 scarcely seems to have changed at all for me.

I have been sorta saying that maybe its time we got a linux built, linux native browser, but something that both GTK and QT can use.
Now yes already we got plenty of browsers as it is but maybe its time we started making a non DE specific browser that will work the way we want it to.
Maybe even offer something that is compatible with firefox extensions though

    Something with WebKit, perhaps?

Maybe it's because Firefox now favors me...

    Sorry couldn't help myself.

Anyways, I never have any problem deciding if I'm in IE or Firefox, since I simply refuse to use IE, even at work.
The only possible situation I will use IE, is on a clean system, to download Firefox.

    But on the topic:
Maybe Firefox changed their layout to be more similar to IE, to make it easier for people to switch from IE to Firefox.

Personally I use those options so rarely, I wouldn't notice if they renamed and moved some buttons around a bit.

Webkit + Gecko would be beneficial for now until Webkit matures more.

Does anyone else find that in firefox 3.5 it tries to load pages from your middle click paste when you're trying to do middle click for other things. For example, middle clicking next to your tabs to "undo close tab" undoes the close, then tries to go to whatevers in your clipboard, which often results in an error because its not a valid address. Then you can press back to get what you actually want.

This is annoying me to the extent that I'm considering going back to the default firefox for jaunty.

I think 3.5 series is fantastic. Yes, they changed the way private data is handled, but for the better.

Just access "Tools >> Clear Recent History". A menu will popup with several options. You have total control of what data to delete and can also select a time range. Can't get better than that.
