It rocks. I use it between all of my firefox installs. I only wish it had Opera support, because I like Opera better. It is very reliable.

Take one down, short it to ground,

Have a look at febe as well, which makes backups of a lot else as well, and is completely configurable to do whatever you want of it.
Or if you are wanting to use your settings over multiple computers look at Add-on Collector. Even though this is not automatic after setting up a account backing up your Add-ons is done with a couple of mouse clicks per Add-on.
Xmarks is a great timesaver, especially if you mess up your install often(like I do) and have a whole lot of bookmarks and passwords.
FEBE and Xmarks are two add-ons I'd recommend, though I'm currently trying out Mozilla Weave, and so far it's been just great.
