    Serval Professional

I recently purchased a Serval Professional from System76. I must say that I like it...

I've used a number of laptops for work over the years, but this is my first personal laptop. As such, it needed to replace my desktop; I think the SERP5 does a good job of that so far.

I'm tempted to write up a review at some point, but just wanted to let everyone know that I've had a good experience with the staff at System76 as well as the product sold.

    I also read this:
    http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pag...rval_pro&num=1

The problem I found is that there are almost NO reviews out there. The big thing for me is the screen quality... Seeing as I'll be staring at the screen when using it, I went for the higher resolution screen (matte) and I couldn't find anything.

I did do some digging and got into reading forum posts elsewhere about the Clevo model that the SERP is... And even then there weren't too many people with the better screen.

Now that I have it, I noticed that it gets detected as a Lenovo screen, so presumably the W500 1920x1200 screen is the same as on this Clevo.

The only thing missing for me is an option for a docking station, but I'm waiting to see what Village Tronic puts out, word is they are working on a ViDock 4. http://www.villagetronic.com/
