ATi Open drivers are coming of age... :)

It seems that xorg-edgers no longer works with the ati radeon x1270 card. I have this in a hp netbook, it used to work great with xorg-edgers but at some point it stops working with Natty, Unity (Compiz) refuses to start and I boot into a blank desktop, removing xorg-edgers and it works again but graphics performance is set back by quite a bit. Wonder if that is a bug or if the card is no longer supported.

I suggest compiling mesa from git for people who want to try the latest and greatest. It's very easy and not as invasive as PPAs.
