    New UNR Netbook Launcher Interface

Quite surprised I haven't seen much press on the new netbook-launcher interface. It's quite nice, faster, and much more effecient usability-wise. So far, so good on my Dell Vostro A90.

The added to favorites notification is a really nice touch. I'm still having sporadic crashes with netbook-launcher as I'm testing clutk 0.2.2 with a rebuilt netbook-launcher. The crashes seem to occur while changing gtk themes or icons.

Oh, beauty! The old one was a bit of a pig, but this really makes me smile
The design team is paying off.

Nice icons, too. They aren't blurry out of the box! I'm not directly testing Karmic yet, so just curious: is that the Human icon set?

Files & Folders is good, although I think that should really be renamed to Places. Maybe not optimal, but that's in line with the rest of the desktop.

It's the Humanity icon set currently in testing for a potential replacement to Human. It is a very nice and professional set.

Re: New UNR Netbook Launcher Interface

Hm. Still on the fence as to whether I like this interface or not. I've grown quite accustomed to the interface in 8.10/9.04. If anything (and I know it's SUPPOSED to be simple), I believe that the new launcher may be too simple.

EDIT: And FWIW, I'm quite surprised it hasn't received more press either.

Re: New UNR Netbook Launcher Interface

I was almost tempted to install netbook-launcher for my main laptop as well...
Installed it yesterday to AspireOne, looked good, but seemed to crash with every chance it got.
I won't answer to difficult guestions.
