Can't log out of Kubuntu

Hello, when I try to log out of Kubuntu, I get a black screen and then have to hold the power button and turn my computer back on.

Any help with this one? I have auto login enabled so I don't know if it's affected at start up and don't want to shut auto login off to find out. I also have Ubuntu-Desktop installed alongside Kubuntu if that means anything.

I have the same problem on Ubuntu... I tried a ton of things but nothing worked...

What happens when you log out of Gnome instead of KDE? Are you using kdm as your display manager or something else?

Do you have kdm installed?
