I have always been impressed with Puppy, but this particular release looks great out-of-the-box so to speak...downloading now! 18 minutes to burn!

you don't need to install anything. i used puppy as my main system for about a year with a live CD and a save file on a USB drive (long story)

that being said you can install it, i just want to make sure you understand you can try it without needing to do so.

I'm installing on a computer for some friends who have no internet connection and only one CD/DVD drive, they mainly want to watch movies and listen to music.

oh, fair enough then. i would probably do the same then. however the single disk drive thing isn't an issue, with puppy you can take out thedisk while running a live session.

I think that would be one step too confusing for them.
