    Ezcam III Driver for Linux

    Hello,

I've been trying to get my Ezonics Ezcam III to work wih Ubuntu 9.04 (specifically with Skype--if I try to open Camorama it closes with a video source error). The bottom of the webcam reads "Model No. EZ-306 SPCA561A." When I try to test the video device in Skype Options, the image is bright green with crosshatches and purple transparent rectangles. It is possible to see the image in the green and purple, but the video quality is horrible.

Is there any work I can do with the driver to get a better picture? The default driver seems to be working as I can see the image, but the distortion makes the video very difficult to watch.

    Thanks,
    igfud

    Got it working with http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=945803
Had the same issue: video would work with Ekiga & somewhat with Cheese.
