    Set power plan

Hi! I using Ubuntu 9.04 (64 bit) and my computer is Acer Aspire 7720g (intel core 2 duo, 2.10 GHz x 2, 4 DDR2). I want set a power plan (powersave, higpermormance, etc..), but i don't know how. Can someone help me? I can't use the applet on task bar because compare an error message: "CPU variatios not supported!". Can someone help me. Thanks!
